Two players, one browser tab each
One of you opens the game and is given a six-character code. The other types it in — or opens the invite link — and lands in the same battle, wherever they are. Neither of you downloads this mod, and neither of you installs anything.
One of you runs the actual game, so that person supplies the Heroes II data — once, from their own machine.
DATA,
about 40 MB. What that meansNothing at all. No download, no game files, no account, not even a copy of Heroes II.
Worth knowing before you start
You both see the same picture — including each other's spellbook and army. It is built for playing with someone you know, not for blind competitive play.
A single battle, with a rematch after each one. The adventure map and the campaigns stay single-player — those are the browser version and the download.
The two browsers are introduced by a small endpoint on this site and then talk directly. Finding that direct path uses STUN alone, so strict company networks and some mobile ones will not get through at all.
The host's game data is read in their own browser and never leaves the machine. What travels is the picture, the sound and the clicks.
Unfinished — see above. Nothing is installed on either side.
