Maps people made.

The scenarios this site carries. All of them are in the game's Select Scenario list for everyone, with no separate download. If you have made a map, you can send it in.

What is in the game right now

The demo's own map, a 1998 fan map distributed with its author's permission, a map from the fheroes2 project, and fan maps from the Heroes II community archives whose authors set no terms. If one of them is yours and you want it credited differently or taken down, write to @n1co13.

How to get a map added

There is no upload on this site. Maps are sent on Telegram, checked, and added by hand.

  1. Make the map, or use one you already have. Either the original Heroes II editor (.MP2) or the fheroes2 map editor (.fh2m). The fheroes2 editor is not available on this site: the engine only offers it when The Price of Loyalty data is installed, and this site uses the demo data. Use it in a desktop install of fheroes2 with the full game.
  2. Send it on Telegram. Attach the file in a message to @n1co13 and say what the map is called, how you want to be credited, and that you agree to it going up here.
  3. It gets checked. Every map is loaded on the demo data before it is published. You get a reply either way, usually within a day or two. Once it is up, it is in Select Scenario for everyone and listed on this page with your credit.
No Price of Loyalty objects.

Everyone here plays on the 1996 demo data, which has no expansion graphics. A map that uses Price of Loyalty objects (reefs, mermaids, sirens, the Arena, barriers and traveller's tents, the Alchemist's Tower) cannot be shown, and expansion-format .MX2 maps are not listed at all. Send such a map anyway: the objects can usually be replaced with original-game ones, which is what was done for Lost Temple.

Only maps you may share.

Send maps you made yourself, or maps whose author agrees to them being passed on. Your map goes up unchanged and credited the way you ask. If it needs a change to run on the demo data, you are asked first and its card says so. Ask for it to come down at any time and it will.

Formats

.MP2 or .fh2m, any size. Each map gets a preview on its card, drawn from the map file.

Online play

A map with room for two or more human players can be hosted online. One-player maps are welcome too; their card says solo only.
